Club Activities

The Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Pumpkin Patch is scheduled to open this Sunday, October 1st! With the help of community partners like Rotary, they are able to provide a family friendly event for our community, raise funds to support our Agricultural Education Programs for youth, and bring PURE JOY to thousands of children.

Tuesday, August 8, 2017 - Our Rotarian of the day was George Austin and he brought in an amazing presenter Dan Klinglesmith
an who has been an astronomer since he was 14. He worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for 30 years (1966 - 1996) and retired to Socorro in 1996.  He currently manages the Etscorn Campus Observatory and has research interests in asteroid light curves and shapes.


We were excited to have Boy Scout troupes 703 & 411 visit with us and tell us about their activities.

Darryl, President of the Foundation Board presented a check to Deacon Steve Rangel, President/CEO of St. Felix Pantry.  Deacon Rangel gave an overview of the wonderful work there are performing that results in environmental stewardship for helping needy individuals by reusing food products and other items to help them with their daily needs.


Our Rotarian of the Day was April Spaulding.  She gave a most interesting presentation on the family services that Abrazos Family Services provides to this region.  Great Work!





President & CEO of the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce, Jerry Schalow give a very interesting program on how the chamber helps to grow the number of jobs and businesses in Rio Rancho.

It is with great pleasure that our new President will be installed on June 27, 2017.  Our President Elect Roger Nagel will start his term in Rotary year July 1, 2017 – 2018.  He has complete all of the District 5520 training and is anxious to continue the success that the Rio Rancho Rotary Club has experienced in the past.
